On the 2nd Anniversary of the Syrian Revolution, the British Syrian Community of Manchester made a candle vigil in Manchester city centre.
Mr. Salim Astewani welcomed those who joined the gathering in Piccadilly Gardens showing support to the Syrian people and lighting candles to the souls of 70 thousand Syrians who sacrificed their souls for the dignity and freedom of all Syrians. Mr. Astewani delivered a brief speech on the account of two years of Syrians’ struggle for dignity and freedom against one of the most tyrannical regimes ever.
Then Dr. Ammar Darwish talked about the ongoing agonies of Syrian people who still need massive support from the international community. The speech was concluded with prayers for the souls of innocent victims and for the struggling people in Syria.
The vigil was held on the 15th of March in Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester.
