On Thursday 1st of March 2018, RR’s Managing Director, Dr Haytham Alhamwi, delivered a lecture to students of Manchester’s University’s Global Development Institute.
The lecture focused on the Syrian Crisis especially the difficulties faced by Syrian refugees who escaped the killing, forced displacement and unlawful detention to seek a safer life in other countries. The lecture also drew on RR’s extensive experience in dealing with refugees in the Greater Manchester area.
Student feedback was quite positive as many attendees expressed interest in the subject especially because they learned about several issues which they were not aware of previously.
