On Sunday 18 Dec 2022, we invited our community members to watch the World Cup Final at our centre. The World Cup is very popular amongst our community members, and we wanted to make sure that our community is able to enjoy the most important games with their fellow Syrians at our warm centre. The final between France and Argentina was thrilling. Everyone was excited and happy. We had the opportunity to watch one of the best finals ever. The atmosphere was vibrant and buzzing. Some parents came with their children. Children and adults played table tennis in half-time and after the games.
Tea, coffee, and snacks were provided. The purpose of these events was connecting our community members together and offering them a platform to socialise and enjoy the games in a friendly and supportive environment. 50+ people attended the events.
