The US has announced changes to its visa waiver program which allows British nationals, as well as the nationals of 38 other countries, to travel to the US without a visa. The announced changes will require British nationals to apply for and obtain a visa for travel to the US if they are dual Syrian, Iraqi, Iranian, or Sudanese nationals, or if they have travelled to any of these countries in the past five years. In response, we have issued an open letter, a letter to the Foreign Secretary, and a press release to protest this policy.
