We held a seminar on Sunday 9th July about the change of the employment of energy resources in the global economy and its implications in the Arab world. Dr. Firas Miro spoke about the great change in the employment of energy resources in the West over the past two decades and how this has affected the political and economic situation in the Middle East.
Part of Dr Miro's presentation was a 50 minute video in English, which contains surprising information about the speed of development of the energy and technology sector recently and trends in the future. The video was followed by a discussion about the possible implications of this development on the Arab region and the potential role of this issue in the Gulf crisis and its possible repercussions on the situation in Syria.
